Great quality, less expensive than local

We are green, and have solar panels and an electric car (not bragging, it was a necessity after Hurricane Maria took out our electricity for over 6 months here in Puerto Rico.). We still have a connection to our local electric company for the few times a year that the weather makes us choose between charging the house and charging the car. Wouldn't work for what I wanted.

I have no opinion as to the quality of this product. Although I read the description it would not work for what I wanted. I needed a switch for my RV between the shore power and the generator. Beware, this is a 2 input, 2output switch. I needed a 2 input 1 output. If you use this switch it will back feed electricity into whichever device your not using potentially causing generator damage. Also, nothing larger than a 10 AWG wire will go into the terminals so if your using larger wire you must…

Heavy duty switch - works great for my application

This 3 position, 16 terminal 63A switch is an excellent product. I installed it in a switch housing that is purchased separately and use it to connect a 20 amp DC-DC converter/charger (ISDT Q8) between two 24 V solar battery banks with different battery chemistries and capacities (a 148Ah Titan and an external 280Ah LiFePo4 battery). The switch allows me to select which bank I want to supply energy from/to without having to change the wiring between the banks, and it works very well for that…

Dangerous, Wires can not be securely tightened to the switch.

The terminals holding my #12 wire would not allow a secure connection. The screw terminals would not tighten enough to hold the wire. The terminal would loosen after being snugly tightened. Many attempts to secure the connections were attempted but would loosen every time.

Easy installation: my feedback

This switch is being used as a change over between battery power and shore power on a RV. I have a household refrigerator in our RV and needed a way to transfer power between the inverter and 110 volt shore power, this switch did the job.

Broken on arrival. good for me

Got the whole thing wired, only to discover an intermittent switch contact between terminals 1 & 2. 😐 Getting it replaced added days to my project.

  • It’s big and ugly but it works. Instructions are confusing but customer service was helpful.

  • Needed two inputs to one output but this doesn't do it that I can figure out.

Does the job, RV 100V Shore/Inverter Selector Boondocking Switch, does require half a brain.

Be sure to buy the model for your job. 8 Terminals means switched 2-Wire, switched Positive-Neutral 110v. and used a separate common Ground bus. (Grid/OFF/INVERTER) I wired it for 2 power sources in/ 1 out. Used for switching RV Shore power to Inverter power. Switched two circuits of 5. Inverter on/off button and switch mounted right next to each other. 1500 watt sine wave inverter provides power to everything but AC and Frig(ac/dc/propane) and battery charger. Dead contact on arrival

Seems solid enough, good snap action. However, on first test only 3 of 4 contacts showed continuity. Looks like the last set of contacts are just shy of contact. Might be able to tweak them into touching, but I only needed three sets of contacts anyway, so I’ll leave it alone.To be honest, you can’t expect too much for the price. Still, a fully-functioning switch would have been a plus.
