Bought these bulbs to replace broken dash and shift lights on my Taurus '08. In short, these bulbs can be installed with reverse polarity and they won't work, but swap them in the chuck should they work. You are bright! I only wanted to do this job once and buy 10 of these lamps for less than 4 conventional lamps from outside sources. These T-5s matched the original sockets from the cluster perfectly, but the sockets in the kit did not match. It's ok, the originals are ok. My dimensions are no longer dim and I also replaced the turn signal bulbs which used 9 bulbs out of 10 in the pack (including the gear selector). They come in a resealable package. The same bright turn signals make it less likely that you'll forget to turn them off, they're much, much brighter than stock and will get your attention! One was a bad bulb, the solder on the top of the bulb was broken and didn't work. For light sensors, there are 2 types of bulbs that fit into sockets. Choosing the wrong one can break your cluster. LEDs do not generate heat, so there is no risk. I chose white bulbs because my sensors are green, so I don't know how different colors of LEDs affect the markers.
