If I were anything more than an occasional (and bad) golfer I would probably get more out of this handsome range finder with its ability to detect distance, angle and slope. But after using it for a few times, it is extremely useful and easy to use. Wellray comes with a short guide that provides clear and simple information on how to use it. There are 3 different modes (clearly explained in the instructions) that allow the user to find target distance, angle and tilt. Aiming is easy, although it's best to use two hands to keep it on target. Turn on your device, set your preferred mode, point your crosshairs at your target and your distance will quickly appear. The user can also change the measurement from yards to meters if preferred. The device uses one AAA battery. The eyepiece can be focused to provide the clearest image of the target. While I'm not a hunter I assume this would be a good range finder. I was able to use the device right away without first reading the instructions, although I did find that the instructions improved my use. The Wellray comes with a small strap that attaches (but not easily) for secure carrying, and a pouch to protect the device when not in use. . But not here. So far I am impressed with Wellray.
