I was an idiot when I first got this and didn't know there was a center zip pocket for size 48. level in inches. That's why I wrote in the Q&A section that the layers stick out like in the picture. It was new and tight so I just skipped the middle pocket even though the description says so. In any case. I'm very happy with the amount of padding and protection it offers at every level. Sure, a carry handle next to the shoulder strap would be nice, but that's no big deal. I now have large, lighted layers of Swanson 'Savage'. These are big hard levels. . The suitcase took her with a spare seat. It actually says pocket for a 32" level, well I put my rare 36" level in there with free space. Now I see that my Torpedo 12 is in my tool belt all day. Every day I have to buy a 16 inch torpedo to fill all my pockets. Simply because I now have a good place to keep it without having to constantly move it around in my tool box or abuse it in one of my truck's drawers. It might seem a bit pricey, but once you have it, you'll kick yourself for not buying it sooner. Money well spent!
