For example, you have to return to the drawing board several times.

I had high hopes for this product based on the specs and design, but unfortunately it disappointed me more than I expected, which I should have known better as it hardly featured in the Indegogo campaign without Reviews came out somewhere, but well, that's life. This is my third time using a bluetooth amplifier and compared to the FiiO BTR3 and EarStudio I just can't recommend it to anyone unless they rate the sound quality compared to everyday use. PROS: - Amazing sound, the AK4377a is a big upgrade over the AK4376A DAC. and I can definitely hear the difference compared to the Fiio BTR3 and EarStudio - the buttons are very tactile and give a very pleasant click when pressed, although for tracks like the EarStudio I wish there were extra buttons on the other side - compared to the other two devices, I mentioned that the headphone jack and USB-C port are in the right places so the design is symmetrical and the headphone cords don't get too tangled and prevent Amplify from being pulled during movement, which was common with the BTR3 and Ear Studio. - The packaging and presentation are beautiful and the seller is very responsive. Cons: - Pretty much every song I played started out a bit loud and then quickly lowered the volume once the bass or whatever was played. It was like the sound was constantly turning on and off, and the only thing that helped was selecting "Turn off absolute volume" in developer options on Android, but it didn't do much. I don't know about other devices because I've only used Amplify with my Moto Z3 Play, but I found it very unacceptable because it never happened with BTR3 or EarStudio, which have always been consistent. - Battery life is VERY questionable and I never got close to the advertised 12 hours (Auris doesn't mention what codec this is possible with), but I don't know if it was because I didn't put Amplify through numerous charge cycles have or only because of a defective battery. But in the couple of days that I've been using it, I've only worked LDAC for about half a day or about 6-6 1/2 hours. I haven't had a chance to try AAC, but I can't imagine it being anything else. Now the BTR3 lasted about the same with LDAC, but at least they advertised 8-10 hours with AAC, which is what I usually get, EarStudio always got 12 hours. - When the battery is low, you only hear the "Battery low" voice, which cracks almost once a minute while the music plays until it dies, which is very annoying and not really necessary. - No app to show actual battery life, change sound filter or anything else, why? - There is a clip in the kit that should be built into the device but I understand this is good but doesn't hold the device very well. If I clip it to my shirt it works, but if I clip it somewhere else on my body (e.g. a belt loop because I work and move a lot) then every slight tap knocks it off and I know who He thinks "why not?" just leave it on your shirt" Well I didn't because I travel a lot for work and it's easier for me to reach down to change tracks or volume because the buttons are easy to remember - the case looks like a really crappy aluminum version, kinda convinced it's a nicer plastic version but I digress and the bottom half is loose and if you're not too careful it can come loose. This is more of a personal claim and I had the same experience with the EarStudio literally shattering into a million pieces if dropped too hard, but it's important to me that a device itself above $100 around that price feels like. Anyway, I apologize if this review is too long, but TL; DR: Buy this if you want better sound for less than $100. DO NOT buy this if you plan on using it for more than a day. I may have come across a defective idk product, I simply cannot recommend it to anyone as it is. - bull
