Review on Premium Unbuffered Acid-Free Paper: Safeguard Quilts, Textiles & Linens with 100 Sheets (20x30 inches) by Kristen Reid

Cheaper than dry cleaning and better!

I received this paper today. In the past I have researched how to store vintage linens in acid free paper. It's hard work, but worth it. I bought the last box and paper from the local dry cleaners many years ago. It was very expensive to buy even one box and pack it yourself. I knew there had to be an easier, cheaper, but more effective way. We have linens that are over 100 years old. Remembering the cost last time, I decided to search Revain for a cheaper DIY option. I found this paper and it is way better than the ones I bought at the dry cleaners. The instructions state that properly wrapped linens in this paper will last more than 100 years. As stated on the dry cleaning package. I had more than enough paper to securely wrap several large canvases and there was a little more left over. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that some of the paper ripped when I put more bedding in the bag I put it in. I was more careful when dressing than before and everything was fine. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to preserve vintage fabrics. Also, my research has taught me to be careful to tuck the paper into every fold of the fabric. It says don't let the cloth touch you. So you need a lot of leaves if you have big leaves like I do. I've had enough of this paper. Also, I bought the largest paper size to make it easier.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

This paper was used to wrap quilts for storage. Hopefully the papers work as well as advertised!
