For the price this is a great pad. I have an outdoor cat so I made her a semi-insulated shelter. She loved it but still wanted to go in on days when it was very cold (snowy weather) BUT she hates being inside so there was a back and forth fight with her at the door. I bought a pad and my old shirt was already there. I noticed that she only used it when the shirt covered part of it. As she walked on it, she pretended not to like the rustle or the feel. I bought a women's thermal shirt and wrapped it around the pad. It's softer and you won't notice any wrinkles. Now she uses it EVERY night. Checking on her when I go to work (4am) I can feel her body heat in her cat house, which I didn't have before, so this thing definitely helps to keep her warm. cold weather. Because my cat was so picky, it was worth just swapping out a bit for a thermal jacket!
