Review on Labwork Assembly Sprocket Replacement Rebuild by Joseph Katipally

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Generally ok but there are some issues

A few issues with this set. First, there are no instructions. For most this will not be a problem. Second, the top mounts are of very poor quality. Each of them has set screws for attachment to the axle. This is crap and doesn't work. The axle slides back and forth, resetting the chain. We bought split clamps and they seem to hold the axle in place. The sprocket then slips too much, which can lead to the chain breaking. The collars appear to be working again. The wheel hubs are an odd size so make sure your tires fit, ours didn't, so spend more and search a lot! The sprocket fits a size 40 chain. We couldn't find this anywhere in the specs. The brake is kinda weird, we didn't figure out how to attach it. I will update after. In total you will need 2 split rings per axle and 2 per sprocket. We bought a single split but a double would have made assembly easier.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I won't say anything
