I bought this camera to upgrade my pocket camera. My main camera is a telephoto DSLR, so I use a pocket camera for backup and video. I'm happy with the image quality - Canon (IMO) outperforms other brands in this regard. I have no complaints about this camera other than one for which I'm shooting a star. The WiFi button on the back of the camera is too sensitive so it always accidentally turns on and when I use the camera I find that the battery is dead. It happened too many times so I bought this leather case for it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VIK6KDW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The case solved the button problem. However, this adds a bit of volume. With the case, the camera still fits in my purse or jacket/coat pocket. It will not fit in the front pocket of your pants unless the pocket is large. This might be a stumbling block for some, but I agree. It's also a good idea to buy spare batteries for this camera. Battery life is decent as long as the Wi-Fi button stays on.
