These pins helped me when I was making pins for 3 and 4 year old ring bearers at my niece's wedding. These little boys were very cute, but they could easily destroy something so fragile. And I didn't want to use a traditional pin on them because I was afraid little boys might get hurt. These pins were very handy as they could be attached and then secured so the pins wouldn't hurt the boys (and vice versa!). Believe it or not, I used a few thin strips of tape to attach the boutonniere to the boutonniere. pins and then taped them in place with floral tape.
