I needed a new portable heater. My relatives have had two of these for many years, so I bought this device without hesitation. The onboard controls are difficult to read unless you're looking at them from the ground. The remote is useful as long as I remember where I put it (my problem, I know). Older units had directional blinds, which I like. It's not like this. It heats up the room very well. Pretty expensive compared to other options on the market. Next time I'll probably look for something cheaper.
