Review on Enhanced Protection: 5PC Triple Density Removable Armor Set for Red Motorcycle Street Biker Jackets by Dushawn Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pretty good deal for the price.

I give 5 stars because I think it's a good deal for the price but read on. So about a week ago I put on my mesh jacket and tucked my elbow pads into the cuffs. Further examination showed that they had dissolved and that my shoulders were also leaking. I checked several positions on this site but ended up going for this one. So, here's the thing: First, they're made out of foam you might find in a yoga mat or what backpackers call a carry mat. Two connected layers, thick yellow and thinner black. I believe they are cut from a flat piece of this material and the shape and contours are made with some sort of heat press. My original shoulder and elbow pads were molded rubber. They seem to offer better protection than these, but if handled at the same time they probably seem about the same. In addition, none of the ventilation openings were free. Considering it's a mesh jacket for me, it doesn't matter, but if holes are important to you, be aware that you can spend some time fixing them. I actually preferred this to the other because it didn't have holes in the rear guard, so it's not as good. For fit, I had to trim the top and bottom shoulder pads slightly (better too big than too small). ), but the elbow pads fit fine with a little work. The rear tread was smaller than my original one which was the same material and had 1/2" vents but was still in good condition so I left it in place. I'll toss it in the closet if I find a use for it sometime in the future. So to keep my favorite jacket in use, not a bad deal. But I think if I had the choice again, I would have paid a little more and would have come out more like my originals.
