I had never heard of 5-HTP until I discussed my sleep issues with someone in the medical community. It turned out that taking just one of these capsules 30 minutes before bed helped me sleep better and feel more rested. I think it improved my outlook as well, although it might just be the fact that my sleep became less intermittent. There doesn't seem to be any downside to having no after-effects the next morning.
