Overall this is a good little adapter, very easy to use and delivers sequential read/write speeds of 1046MB/s and 1029MB/s (genuine Dell Hynix installed) 1TB SSD) connected to the Thunderbolt port on the XPS 15 9500. There are a few things to note: 1. The case is very WARM with the SSD running continuously, even with the thermal pad and flat heatsink on top of the SSD. 2. The case is not closed by a heat sink on a 1mm thermal pad. I had to buy a 0.5mm thermal pad to get an exact fit. 3. The cabinet must have ventilation holes to exhaust hot air. 4. The sliding grooves could be a bit deeper to prevent the lid from slipping off like in my case mentioned in point 2. Overall, this is a good product for cloning and USB drive replacement. I hope the seller reads this review and makes some improvements to it, then it becomes a 5 star product.
