Review on Samsung LC27RG50FQNXZA 27-Inch Curved Monitor with 1920x1080P Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate by Gavin Schupbach

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The lowest input lag I've ever seen.

I wanted to like this monitor but I don't know why my eyes hurt right away. I had to go back. Pros - Awome for FPS1. very good contrast and even blacks.2. Lowest input lag of any monitor I've ever used. (I have a Dell s2716dg and an HP Omen x25f) it was faster than them.3. Many image settings.4. Simple but very nice design. Cons: Don't play this Quake RTX! Tons of ghosting when you don't hit 100+ fps, when you hit 240 fps it looks ok.2. The stand is terrible, there is no height adjustment.3. The screen sharpness is set to high by default. It took some time to play around with the settings to make everything look ok.4. My eyes hurt, I don't know why, but the VA and IPS panels seem to bother my eyes. TN panels don't work for some weird reason. In general I play a lot of Overwatch, this monitor was absolutely fantastic for this game. I want to try to buy it again and see if the eyestrain was just a defect in the panel I had. The monitor felt like a CRT from gaming's golden era. I just wish this panel had a faster 4ms blur as it's supposed to be a stretch I guess. There are no reliable monitor ratings for this display. I bet if they did an input lag test it would be at the top of the display stack in that regard as the HP Omen x25f I have is said to be one of the lowest inputs. delayed display, and on this one it was even better to aim and track targets.

Pros
  • My son loves everything about it. Good price and quality are amazing so far
Cons
  • This resulted in a line appearing on the screen in less than 6 months. I emailed the company a week ago and no response.
