Samsung LC27RG50FQNXZA 27-Inch Curved Monitor with 1920x1080P Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate Review

Having recently had multiple eye surgeries on one of my eyes, I was looking for a monitor with eye protection mode. I chose this monitor as it was the best I could buy for the price. I am very happy with this monitor. I'm waiting for the price to drop to what I bought it for so I can buy another. My eyes don't hurt like they used to after staring at the screen for about an hour. IMHO it's worth it.

I was skeptical when my son asked about this monitor. I've read that you can't see above 30 Hertz. Boy was I wrong. We didn't see any difference for the first few days, but we didn't notice that the driver was set to 60Hz. Switch the driver to 200Hz and what's the difference. You can even see the difference by dragging the image across the screen. everything is so clear Now my other son wants it.

I love this monitor. The product itself looks great. I'm really excited about my gaming rig. The picture on this monitor is amazing. I haven't had a chance to play games on it yet, so I can't say if 240MHz makes a difference. My only issue with this product is that the DirectPort cable that came with it doesn't work. I've been looking for weeks for a monitor to replace my 23" 1440p 144hz monitor. Finally 240hz has an advantage for gaming even if it's a 1080p screen that dsr can use where I use it at 1440p, which is great for a 240hz monitor with 4ms response time I was skeptical at first but 4ms doesn't really matter in the competitive arena fast game where 240hz is important overall I would recommend it to any other 1080p and 1440p monitor that does is smaller, more expensive and not curved.

I bought 2 for my kids on Black Friday and saved myself $100 each. These displays are great, but I wish Samsung would make them with a higher resolution. 27 inches plus 240 Hz is a great combination, but nothing is perfect. I updated my review after 3 months as one star is unfair. Pros: Very smooth movement, I can certainly tell the difference between 240Hz and 144Hz. The panel has really great contrast values and the black background looks black and not washed out. Cons: Has bad pixel overload that can't be turned off anyway, causing ghosting on contrasting backgrounds. This is noticeable in some games. That's exactly what I wanted. Amazing quality. Hertz is crazy. The only complaint will be the location of the ports. Sometimes I need to change the HDMI cable and it's a bit of a hassle, but not a deal breaker. Overall you can't go wrong with this monitor for the price! I recommend to a friend.

So I don't know if it's my pc or monitor but I have msi 144hz and I bought this one because of 240hz but in game sometimes textures won't load or take a very long time to load! It looks awful, maybe I need to fiddle with the settings or I'm not very tech savvy, but until I figure out what's going on I'll give it a 3. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Of all the things you don't like to see in a monitor, I personally find ghosting the worst and on this model, while great in every other way (especially for the price), ghosting is very noticeable and off-putting. I disabled G-Sync and the ghosting is gone. but the picture quality gets pretty bad, blurry/dull and just plain impossible to watch. If you're playing darker games like The Witcher, BDO, WoW, etc., this monitor is almost completely unusable. In really flashy games like OverWatch, it's not noticeable at all. Not worth it for the price.

In general, on a good monitor, individual pixels are easily visible unless viewed from a distance. Although 240 Hz is comfortable.
