This mug is mostly as advertised. It appears to be high quality glass and heavy enough not to be brittle but not too heavy to be awkward to lift and pour. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the lid isn't really a lid, more like a spout and the jug can't close. In this way, the jug is permanently open so that the water can absorb any odors in the refrigerator.
