This filter claims to filter out 95% of 3 micron particles. It does not meet HEPA standards. Common standards require a HEPA air filter to remove at least 99.95% (European standard) or 99.97% (ASME, US Department of Energy) of 0.3 micron diameter particles from the passing air while maintaining filter efficiency for Particles with a diameter increased from both less and more than 0.3 microns.
