My 80 year old mother slips easily on synthetic wood floors and some of the socks and slippers with silicone inserts I bought about 8 months ago are already worn out. I threw everything away and bought these socks with rubber inserts. They hold up really well! I would say they stick to the floor better than silicone socks. Now I am sure that my mother will not slip and fall. I don't put them in the dryer after washing, I just hang them up to dry so the gum stays tacky and doesn't dry out. Mom's shoes are a size 9 and they fit just right. If you have bigger shoes, most likely they will not fit you.
