I have used tons of glue sticks at my home daycare so was thrilled to see this pack at such a great price. Kids prefer purple so they can see where they put glue, but I prefer the price. I used to buy purple from another brand and it was a bit more expensive but after using them I preferred another brand. The other brand has a short cap to open it, while this one has a really long cap that takes up most of the wand and that's why the glue covers the entire handle. It's a horrible design and the kids get glued to it. When they run out, I have to do the math again and compare the costs to see if they're worth it or not. I think no. Mind you, I have children as young as 5 and deal with them. I think with this design it doesn't matter how old the child is, it will still be messy, but I could be wrong.
