Wireless CarPlay doesn't usually work properly, so save yourself some money.

My old iPhone worked with the device but the new one won't connect to the CarPlay wireless network. I pair the bluetooth, turn on the hotspot from the head unit and connect to it, go to Settings &gt; General &gt; Carplay and Car-Link shows up but when I click on it my phone just sits there. I regret spending so much money on this main unit as it does not do what is advertised. I'm using iPhone 12 and iOS 14.4.2 in case anyone reading this is curious.
