Based on reviews saying it gave the coffee a plastic taste, I ran 6 cycles with clean, filtered water before trying the pod. The coffee tasted good. The second pod was just as tasty. Bought to use in our small camper van so size was an important factor as well as how to use the amp. This one fits perfectly. Update: first use in a mobile home! I misjudged the height and there is now a small scratch on the camper hatch door where the panel is sliding off the wood. The coffee maker is a bit difficult to open now, but it still works and the coffee still tastes great. I'm happy with this coffee maker so far, just found another place to hide it in the camper! And plans for some cool stickers to hide that scratch!
