Over the past year I've tried several of these lesser known brands of hydration packs and so far this is my favorite. First, the build quality is above average. Many of them look weak, but that's not the case here. This is a quality product. This makes it a little heavier than average, but we're talking ounces. Second, the thoughtful design allows me to carry enough gear for longer hikes. There is room for binoculars for bird watching, lunch, a collapsible bowl for my dogs, an extra water bottle or two for my dogs, etc. Also, I like the bite valve on the bladder itself. The bladder is a little light, but the bite valve doesn't drip open my shirt and is easy to open, close and use. If like me you want to share water with your dogs, you can easily spill the water by squeezing the bite valve with your fingers and physically placing it under the bladder. After all, it's very hot here right now. I'm out in the high 90's. And I can say that the design of the ventilation in the back works. My back feels cooler than others. Overall it has good quality, design and functionality. I'm a fan.
