Review on Efficient Garmin NMEA 2000 πŸ”Œ Backbone/Drop Cable (1ft) for Seamless Connectivity by Diana Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just what I needed to connect to the Garmin backbone network

When connecting the cable from my GPS antenna installed on the T-top of my boat, I didn't have enough cables to the backbone network. I could have bought a 2m cable for a little more, but it took me less than a foot to make the connection. I chose the 1 foot cable for two reasons. Since I always need a signal that is as strong as possible, the shortest cable helps, as it has slightly less loss than a cable that is 6 times longer. I also wanted the cleanest connector work in my center console. I would have a spool of excess cable with a 2m cable and would need to find a good spot to mount it. The 1ft cable was spot on with a straight shot from the network entry point. It works great.

Pros
  • Chargers and cables
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
