The concept is here. He has potential. Perhaps a resizing or closer inspection before packaging would make this a 4-5 star product. The body and parts are made of decent materials. Feels good out of the box. The details just don't match the dimensions of the controller. The replacement D-Pad is far from accurate, it clicks in multiple directions no matter what metal mold is used. The thumbsticks rub against the inside of the controller, so you can end up with sticks that either feel "unsmooth" or just get stuck in a certain direction. The buttons are difficult to remove once placed on the magnetized seat. Super tight fit. Some size updates for machining metal parts can solve both of these problems. I've spent hours getting it to work well enough to be played with, but I've had to give up the D-Pad entirely due to lack of precision. I sanded the domes of the thumbsticks which helped maintain the clearance needed for the sticks to move smoothly. The brushed metal actually looks cool afterwards (the initial finish is smooth). In any case, I had to open the controller several times, and the desired height of the buttons was finally adopted. If you're willing to put in some work, this kit might do the trick.
