As many have pointed out, you pay a lot for what you get. Three pieces of pink insulation are cut at the same time, and if you've already scraped off the old insulation and cleaned the filter housing, you can install it in less than a minute. The pieces are cut to size and I haven't seen this pink insulation at Home Depot or Lowes. This is not pink fiberglass roofing insulation. So everything is in the box and it's easy. However, I'm sure you can buy a window air conditioner from Lowes or Home Depot and put together a fully functional solution for less than $10. This includes a trip to the hardware store, measuring and cutting. You'll need one of those 5-in-1 paint scrapers, a bottle of spray adhesive (3M or Loctite), a roll of paper towels, and some Windex. The largest and longest part of the job is cleaning the filter box from 15 years of dirt and soot.
