I'm 6ft 0in, weigh 225lbs and got an XL - larger than typical US sizing but mostly lived up to my size based expectations on the Size chart but the feet fit well. There isn't much elastic in the waistband, but that suits me. I really like the weight - warmer than athletic jogging pants but not hot like fleece. And the material is quite elastic. Back - seams. I got them while trying to find pants to wear as a single layer on runs in 20-40F, which is typical of Pennsylvania winters. However the seams of the panels around the knees rub against my skin when running or walking which is very annoying. I will still use them for the colder side of those runs with running tights underneath just a disappointment I thought I found my one layer but I need 2 more .
