I bought this as a spare for my 1909 Singer 27. I've posted photos of my original (left) and this one (right). You can see that they are not identical. This new one is lighter, cheaper. But it works on my machine. I also posted a photo of two stitches with a white upper thread and a red lower thread. The top seam was made with my old bobbin. They are different, but that's probably due to the tension, which I didn't set. Bottom line: it's not the right thing, but it definitely works better than nothing and it's a good support for me.
