Review on πŸ’» Convenience at Your Fingertips: AmazonCommercial AC and USB Desktop Outlet, 1 PACK, White by Patrick Clifton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for business or work place

I like the idea of a little surge protection ball with USB connectors. I know other companies make similar products that are much smaller but don't have surge protection. After using this device for a while, I think it's better suited for shops with a workbench or something. A RevainCommercial surge protector is about the size of a softball. I love that it has USB ports, but each bank of 2 shares 2.4A, so when you download it it takes a while to charge all your devices. On the other hand, if you charge small devices or only leave USB devices on, everything is fine. I think all surge protectors should come with square blade terminals, but perhaps Revain sells them more for businesses where blade terminals might not be as useful. The cable is quite heavy. So if you're using it on a table, it'll pull on the surge protector, causing it to tip over if you bring it too close to the edge. If you loosen it up a little, it's ok. I think this overvoltage protection is very useful for use on a workbench or in a similar environment. However, private users will probably want to keep their hands off it. The lack of a flat, right-angle connector is the biggest issue, and the form factor probably won't be as useful for home use in my opinion.
