Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Playseat Challenge Black: The Ultimate Foldable Racing Chair for Budget Gamers! by Adam Jacobs

Holds Fanatec pedals and heavy load cells

Don't get me wrong, this is not an 80/20 setup and there is some flexibility. But it's just as agile as I expected, with Fanatec CSW 2.5 (max torque around 8Nm) and Clubsport V3 pedals with a tighter brake package. And it's way better than a desk and office chair. Fanatec CSW 2.5 can be mounted directly without modifications. The wheel plate can only be in one of its positions to actually match the Fanatec hole pattern, but I found this position to be ergonomically correct for me (wrists comfortably on the handlebars, shoulders back, arms extended). The biggest flex I experience throughout the setup is in the lean axis of the bike (i.e. pushing away from me or pulling toward me). I think it's down to the system Playseat has chosen to adjust the tilt of the steering wheel. Maybe in the future they will make a more rigid tilt adjustment mechanism. The Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals are too wide for the included Velcro strap. I took the forum advice and just tied the damn thing to the pedal mount. It actually worked surprisingly well. Despite the very stiff brake pedal, I actually flex the pedals less than the steering wheel. To be honest I wouldn't agree with other reviews touting how well this fits large sizes. The sides squeezed my hips and I had to put some foam around the strap stays to relieve the pinching a bit. However, there are no stars, it clearly states that the maximum weight is 200 pounds. I'm not worried about the strength of the chair, it's designed for normal weight people only. It is very easy to install all the equipment and just fold the chair. My largest bike (330mm round bike) doesn't lend itself to folding, but can be quickly detached for storage. And that's obviously something more than what this chair was designed for. Overall it's great value for money and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get wet with a custom sim setup but isn't willing to shell out half a room with an 80/20 setting.
