Fantastic TKL for Mac

I've been using the brown Basic Keychron k8 for a little over 2 weeks. I'm a software developer and this is the keyboard I use for work (WFH). I've used a Durgod Taurus K320 TKL with Cherry mx Brown switches before, so this isn't my first mechanical keyboard. I REALLY LOVE THIS KEYBOARD. The switches are probably the best. If you want a tactile switch but find that Cherry mx browns are too scratchy with too much resistance, or you hate the "bouncy" feel (I love it), Gateron's brown switches are for you . They simply feel crunchier and are easier to press. Backlit TKL mechanical keyboard with wireless, bluetooth and TKL should be a dream come true. I had almost no problems with Bluetooth. There was a time when Bluetooth turned off for a moment, but it didn't happen again. I can easily wake up my Macbook Pro 2019 (work) and 2017 (personal) using the keyboard. Connects very quickly. Haven't had to fix it yet (knock on wood). Of course, I don't do anything sensitive like gaming, but I didn't notice any input lag during normal office work. I use a palm rest, so the height of this keyboard isn't an issue for me. I can switch to using function keys via Mac OS for all keys except those that control the keyboard backlight and shortcuts for screen capture, Siri(?) and the rightmost backlight. This is ideal for programming (in my experience). 2 downsides to this keyboard: - minor - it's a bit louder than my old keyboard and that sound seems to be coming from the body and not the keys so I don't think the o-rings will help. My family just has to take care of it. - Mediocre - This keyboard has very good battery life (lasted a week on full usage) - BUT - When you need to charge you can't just use an old powered USB port. Like probably every MacBook Pro owner who uses their laptop for work, I have a USB hub so I can connect regular mice, hard drives, etc. to the computer. Connecting this keyboard to this hub resulted in a TERRIBLE sound, and that was clear The keyboard drew too much power. I ended up plugging the keyboard into the wall using an iPad charger. This worked well, but meant I couldn't use my keyboard while it was charging, and it's not really the behavior you'd expect from a peripheral like a keyboard. I would rate this 4.5/5 stars. My only real issue is the power consumption while charging.
