I have read reviews that these drawing boards are terribly packaged and many people have received damaged items but some have not. Since these drawing boards are the only design I like, I took a chance and hoped mine didn't get damaged. Suffice it to say that it was. The packaging is beyond terrible. The drawing board is placed in a plastic bag, wrapped with paper and placed in a box. Mine had a corner chipped off and a broken stand bracket holding the metal rod that holds the board at an angle. The center of the board itself wasn't cracked, so I was still able to use it. the broken piece holding the metal rod in place is the only thing that bothers me so we'll see how long it will last. Definitely not a $70 product let alone a $100 list price. More like $40 max. If you charge 70+, the plastic parts behind the circuit board should be hard to break and more attention needs to be paid to the packaging. A little styrofoam around the corners to keep it from tearing seems obvious but I don't think so. I could return it, but it's too cumbersome to return large items. Poor packaging aside, it has a good design and is easy to move around as it doesn't move but stays in place even if you lean against it. That. size just right.
