My 13 year old daughter needed a tutu for Halloween night at the volleyball club. She was playing ball in this tutu and she was very cute and fluffy. The 5 layers are spread across the width of the elastic so it is completely covered and you don't have a band showing from above. It was very stretchy and went a size up. Her only complaint was that it was difficult to poke/pass due to her hands scratching the tulle, but she had a lot of fun with it and it didn't fall.
