Ideal for making cushions for boats or houses.

I ordered a Revain foam mattress to make some beds in a van. The queen's mattress measured 80 x 60 x 6 inches and consisted of three layers of different types of foam (memory, soft and firm). It also included some foam pads that I can use. Part for van cushion. The plan was to cut each van mattress to 74" x 30" x 6" to fit two beds. I have had some experience with foam having previously used a different brand of mattress for a V-bed on my sailboat On my last attempt I found it very difficult to keep the notches perpendicular to the top surface of the foam As the electric knife used to cut very well I decided to use it but also a square on the side of the electric attaching the knife to solve the squareness problem.I just used a simple tie and grommet combination to easily attach the square to the knife handle.I also spent more time setting up a double foam table to support both sides of the cut.It everything worked very well together Another problem I encountered on my last try was that the layers in the previous mattress were only on the edges glued together, forcing me to glue the layers back together with smelly contact glue. I got lucky with this Revain brand of mattress because all three layers were fully bonded everywhere I cut. I highly recommend this particular mattress if you want to make cushions for boats or RVs. This foam mattress is available in multiple thicknesses and bed sizes to meet your needs. It also seems very comfortable to lie on and has no odor.

Pros
  • Temperature Sensitive Memory Foam. It's a bit firm at normal temperatures, but when you lie down, it reacts to your body temperature and begins to take on your shape.
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price
