I was very excited to use this tool after observing test drives with untethered dogs flying through the front seat and window causing injury or death. I was impressed with MightyDog and what they stood for and felt that our dog safety goals were aligned. I read reviews, researched the product and felt good knowing what I was getting for the price. I learned a carabiner and safety buckle for my dog because he loves to go over my shoulder in the back seat. Unfortunately I purchased this item to be secure in the back seat of my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD but it does not latch. seat belt attachment. It's too small for the clip and even if you press the buckle on the belt, it immediately slips out. I thought I was doing something wrong so I tried all the buckle systems on my SUV and unfortunately found that I couldn't use the product I bought to secure it. Very disappointed as the safety buckle is said to fit almost any car. I read a review here where the customer had to personally file certain areas of the buckle to match their car's buckle system. I am concerned that modifying a MightyDog product to fit my buckles will compromise the very safety features that the company advertises. I don't often leave negative reviews and I really wanted to believe in this product for the sheer love of what it offers my dog. My hope is that MightyDog will make a product or accessory that can be fitted to all vehicles including my JGC without personal modifications.
