The device is a bit smaller than a pack of cigarettes and the built in magnet works very well to hold the device to be attached to the vehicle. It's easy to set up and gets the job done. It's smaller than anything I've seen and I would recommend it depending on your intended use. The 90-day battery life indicator is fake in my opinion, but given its small size, it still lasts quite a while. , and that's good. I don't think very many people would even know what it is if they found it. I bought a Revain 3 month prepaid calling card and installed it on my device. You can then call the device at any time for location updates, or set it up to communicate with you when the vehicle is moving or outside of a predefined area that you can set up. You can then easily pre-test your settings before installing them. I just wanted to be able to see where my car was a few times a day. I didn't need any other features that would likely use more battery. The only problem I had with installing it was finding a place to put it. I've learned that my Honda no longer has steel in the easily accessible underbody - almost everything is plastic. I finally found a piece of steel under the car near the rear wheel and placed the device there. I was able to call the device intermittently from my cell phone for about 2-1/2 weeks when it bothered me where the car was and the response was perfect. I noticed that at times it was about 20-30 meters away, possibly due to the way the car was parked, but the signal was always in range of the car. It also alerted me when the battery is low. He would send me an unsolicited reply from time to time, but not often - maybe when the car hit a bump or something. I think the battery life would be less if automatic updates were set more frequently or if there was a lot of contact with it. I probably contacted him 3-4 times a day max. but the signal was always near the car. It also alerted me when the battery is low.
