Review on πŸŽ’ Nathan Vaporhowe Women's Hydration Pack with 1.8L Reservoir - Running Vest by Walter Day

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Snug fitting, adjustable, lots of pockets, no chafing, no bouncing

For years I refrained from buying a backpack because it seemed like it just got wet with sweat and rubbed my hands. They always look bulky and I've settled for a Nathan belt, but after my last run - a 6-hour cross-country run that involved stopping and refilling bottles 3 times - the loud sloshing and bouncing got on my nerves . Bottles and limited capacity so I finally ordered this vaporhowe. I chose it because of the light color (blacks get hotter in the sun, I learned by asking all other trail racers what they love and hate in their bags) and because it looks relatively flat on the back instead to be bulky. I did a short 4 mile road run then a 6 mile cross country run to test it. I like it. No chafing. My arms move freely and sometimes I rub my shoulders and around my armpits and they didn't. I also tend to rub my chest where my sports bra is and this backpack didn't make matters worse at all. Tons of pockets, most with velcro to keep them closed tight (I'll sew on a few more patches to really secure everything). I usually hate carrying things on the go, hate being overweight, jumping, being clumsy, but now I WANT to stuff my bags with stuff! My poor abandoned mace can is finally with me! Car keys, gum, gas, phone, even tissues and a small washcloth. I can bring anything! The fit is perfect once I found the adjustable elbow straps that tighten the bottom of the bag. I can easily tighten or loosen it on the go, and the chest clamps and straps can slide up and down so I can position them in the best position to work around my chest. I wear a 34C Victoria Secret sports bra and ordered one size down in this bundle and it fits just right. My only complaint is that the bladder tube is very long and I'm still not quite sure where to put it or how to wear it. This would be most accessible without being right in front of my face, but it's something I may have to get used to.
