My family travels a lot, but we also have a very long list of food allergies that force us to take our own food with us wherever we go. We have two removable Koolatron coolers, a hardside Coleman cooler and a case full of soft coolers in various sizes for a variety of uses. I was hoping this would be the right size to use as carry-on on a food flight and unfortunately the side pockets on the outside make it almost borderline for more generous airlines so it is not carry-on. an option if you want to bring groceries, frozen fish or other perishable items on board as carry-on baggage. In terms of interior space, multiple meals for a family of four will easily fit. With the pandemic restricting air travel anyway, we used it for trips to the beach and it was a lot easier than lugging around our regular coolers. It's still pretty handy to carry fully loaded on your back and it can take a beating while keeping its contents cool all day. It's very large - even on your back, no one will think this is an ordinary backpack, but it's a lot easier than carrying a two-handed cooler or a shoulder-mounted soft-walled cooler. It doesn't fold compactly for storage - it's just as strong as a "soft wall" cooler, so it takes up about the same space as a hard wall cooler. I prefer hard wall fridges for packing groceries and feel they keep cold better than any collapsible fridge that can come in at the seams, but I had to find a place to store it when not in use. It's very well made and looks really stunning thanks to the deep black and bold lettering - I'd say it's in the same class as the Yeti Backflip coolers in terms of style and functionality. It looks and feels very premium, and it works just as well.
