When I turned it on to test without the diffuser, I was very impressed. It was incredibly bright. But the opaque diffuser bounced the light far. It's still ok compared to the mini fluorescent bulb it replaced, but not great, and it doesn't produce light equivalent to a 200w incandescent bulb in any way. The sheet metal used for this is only slightly thicker than a disposable turkey foil pan. Very cheap. It will change shape in your hand as long as you hold it! This is the first LED I've installed where there is a protective lens over the LEDs and you actually insert a screwdriver through the clear lens to tighten the mounting screws in the base of the light. The base of the LED is aluminum like a pie plate and I didn't feel like I could tighten the base the way I wanted for fear of deforming/damaging the light fixture. This is one of the most expensive brands of this type of SMD LED downlight and overpriced given the lack of quality. Let's see how long this lasts.
