A few notes. I am not a nutritionist or doctor. I am not a professional athlete. I think I'm the closest thing to a "normal man in his forties". So keep that in mind with this review. I was on the verge of Type 2 Diabetes and started exercising about four months ago and have been watching my diet closely. As my blood sugar improved and I became healthier, I started exercising more intensely and as a result needed more protein in my daily diet. I actually found them at my local Wally World store and decided to give them a try. When I first looked at the nutritional information, I was a bit confused by the calories (380 in peanut butter) and how high the sodium content seemed to me. But I figured, as a meal replacement, I wouldn't mind as long as they fill you up. Yes they are. 30 grams of whey protein is a good boost for those who need more protein in their diet. I love the taste of peanut butter. I've tried others but peanut butter was the most delicious and satisfying. From what I've read on other energy bar sites and reviews (again, I believe this is a meal replacement and not just a snack), I would NOT recommend this to anyone looking to lose weight by simply eating less. This product is for those who have been exercising for a while and are watching their diet, I think - if you're just starting out and eating more than one of these a day it's likely to ruin you. I typically eat in the morning after breakfast and then have a light lunch that gets me well into the afternoon when I normally exercise. I ordered peanut butter in bulk and they arrived quickly. Surprise! It's North Carolina in August and they've arrived melted. So instead of complaining directly on the internet, I put them in the fridge to harden. Worked like a champ. Overall I recommend them for their price, taste and satisfaction.
