Review on ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Kinesio Taping Tex Gold FP - Beige - Elastic Therapeutic Athletic Tape, 2" x 13 ft by Brett Islam

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works GREAT for Lymphedema, Hypermobility, Postural Support, Blisters, Pain, Trauma.

I purchased this huge roll of K-Tape after my PT recommended it. She said this brand in BLACK sticks best to areas of the body where K-Tape can fall off more easily, such as areas where the tape needs to be contoured and go over areas like the ankle, under the foot, etc. K-Tape for LYMPHEDEMA and it works VERY well! It causes a dramatic improvement in my leg, foot, ankle, leg and hip swelling. For lymphedema, I cut the tape into strips, leaving an area at one end where all the strips connect (the attachment point of the section of tape). ) to support the lymph flow. The way I cut the tape to get these strips was taught to me by my physical therapist with several years and levels of MLD training. I cut a strip to the desired length, fold it in half lengthwise, cut a vertical crease almost an inch or two from one end to leave a pivot and stabilize the thinner strips, and then cut the two lengthwise strips in half resulting in 4 strips connected to the anchor point/end of the strip, slightly round the edges of all corners then I glue the support piece to the top of my thigh or ankle then carefully glue the thin strips diagonally across my thigh or across my leg to my toes. My physical therapist told me NOT to stretch the tape when using it for lymphedema as opposed to using K-tape for injuries. We also use it on blisters, splinters, etc. to speed up healing on the advice of our doctor. She advised one of my kids (in healthcare) to put it on a blister that was giving her pain and it took away the pain and she was able to work on her legs ALL DAY with no pain. We use it too. to support our hypermobile joints, as well as when we rotate those hypermobile joints, and between our shoulders/neck to support posture and remind us to correct/stand upright. This is the brand recommended by our Chiropractors, PT, LMT etc and we are VERY happy with it. We can TAKE it in the SHOWER and then either pat it dry or dry it gently with a hair dryer and it will stay on for about a week before it really falls off. It lasts even longer when we use it in whole strips instead of cutting it into thinner strips like when I use it on my legs and thighs for lymph flow. When the tape is cut into thinner strips, the edges of the tape easily catch on my bandages/Tubigrip and lymphedema socks. If I'm careful, I can make the most of it by just snipping off a few loose ends as they get caught in my compression stockings. I RECOMMEND this band and WILL BUY it again.
