Review on Plateau Functional Portable Separate Ditome by Muhamed Hogan

Not perfect, but good enough

In an ideal world, I would solve mysteries at my living room coffee table and just put them aside while they were in progress. An active and boisterous child in my family is shattering that dream. I first got into puzzle mats after a few improvised homemade solutions (plastic trays, large pieces of cardboard) didn't work the way I'd hoped. I first ordered a roll mat that looked promising and had great reviews. Upon receipt and opening I found that it still wasn't quite what I wanted. It didn't stay completely flat, the surface was a bit slippery and I found I didn't have to roll it up to store it. Also, I wasn't planning on traveling with it, so I don't need this feature. After a long search and reading conflicting reviews I decided to give it a try. Pros: - It is very durable and sturdy. It doesn't flex too much when you lift it to move it - The felt feels nice and doesn't fall off or roll off - The black background makes it easy to see the puzzle pieces on it Cons: - So it's a larger rectangle Some people may not have closet or shelf space to store - While nice, the felt keeps puzzle pieces or sections from shifting a bit - May not be large enough for large puzzles depending on size of pieces. I'm putting a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle together on it and it gets VERY tight and can end up hanging over the edge. Overall it suits my current needs well and should be fine for most casual puzzles.
