Review on πŸ’‹ Laura Geller New York Prep and Go Lip Scrub and Tint Duo: Hydrating Oil and Exfoliator Stick by Kyle Gilbert

POWERFUL LIP EXFILLER - AN EFFICIENT BUT DRY BURNER THAT REQUIRES A SOFT TOUCH

[NOTE: Scrub technically contains moisturizing ingredients but stays dry] I was so pleased with the result that this is my second tube of lip scrub by Laura Geller is Lip Scrub Exfoliator with shea butter and jojoba oil. My regular lip scrubs are messy, come in lip gloss and pot forms, and act more like a mask than a finger scrub. The packaging of this product is awesome like a tube of lipstick and easy to apply just like lip color. So easy, you don't even have to wipe it off - you can just lick it off if you like! The sweet smell and fruity taste reminds me of strawberries and makes the lips smooth like glass. The ingredients do not cause irritation, but be careful when applying. Graininess is VERY harsh on sensitive lips. Even though it's made with sugar - like a homemade version of table sugar and coconut oil - not only is it grainy, but it's VERY dry despite all the oils. The results are great, but it's not gentle in any way. The stick glides over the lips with dry sand, so I recommend only applying it once around the lips with light pressure. Do not exaggerate! A gentle hand is crucial for a comfortable scrub that doesn't leave red or sore lips. I want it to actually feel moisturizing when applied, but if you use a gentle hand and swipe, the scrub will flake off just as easily as any other product. After that I had to moisturize my lips with another product. As mentioned, this is my second order of this product because I love the convenience, ease of use, sweet scent and lack of allergic reactions to the ingredients. However, I was not happy with the way Revain delivered the product. The cap was completely removed from the tube and the stem itself was broken off at the top and had deep scratches on the sides. Technically the lid in the box could not come off, so there are some doubts that this is a returned, used product. My photos show what the tube should look like and the damaged condition of this batch. When I cut off all the damage, about half the volume of the tube was left. It's okay because the application requires so little, but it should have been packaged better than in a flimsy envelope.
