Upon opening I was surprised that they are very small (I should have read the description better). Quick inspection and they don't appear to be sealed very well. The LED strip inside is not soldered like some. The diodes are small and don't look very high quality. The whole body is thin enough to be very flexible. While I wasn't overly impressed with Nilight's product, I decided to hook one up and give it a try anyway. After connecting the first one, I was surprised by its brightness. It has pretty good performance for a small marker light. So I decided to install the rest on my pontoon trailer anyway. I used a small precision short screwdriver to avoid over-tightening the mounting screws. I broke three of them. It takes little force to separate the lens from the body. This is a sure guarantee that they are no longer waterproof. I installed them all and bypassed each with silicone sealant. After loom my own connectors, added silicone gasket and installed VERY carefully, they look really nice. . My trailer looks slim, small, bright and tidy. There are a few ways they could have very easily improved this product, but with extra care, lots of time, and a bit of silicone, this turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Per.
