Does nothing. I've tried 2 at a time at 5x5 and still got 400-450 PPM with an ambient of 500-550 PPM. They work for about an hour and don't exceed 600 PPM even after that. My breath picks up when I'm in the garden, rising to 1500 and then falling a few minutes after I'm gone. I tried ordering direct from BC and got the same lousy PPM. This tells me that plants consume c02 faster than 2 can produce for 4 plants in 5x5x6. They last about 10 days because mine stopped hissing after shaking it daily and tried both methods a day later. If you buy old stock they are really bad like 1 week print. I used the same C02 meter that I sold TNB with and PPM does not go up. Save money and get compressed gas. Mushroom bags work better. 2 stars for adding some moisture to the garden.
