I can't say enough good things about these speakers. I've tried many speakers and couldn't find a better sounding set for the money. Are there better speakers? Absolutely there is. But you have to spend at least twice as much to defeat them. If you're looking for audiophile sound quality without going broke, this is your speaker. High frequencies are bright and clear without excess coloration and harshness. They play incredibly deep and hit harder than you can imagine. The bass is controlled, powerful and full, but never boomy. They reproduce the sound accurately and are very effective. That last bit is her biggest downfall. They are so accurate that bad sources sound bad. It really is garbage in the garbage. Many speakers color the sound with resonances. There are none (which is good). If you're bringing someone to show off, make sure you're using a high-quality source (Blu-ray, CD, high-bitrate audio). You will not be disappointed!
