I read a lot of reviews before I decided to buy them. Whoever sold them to me was the person who tested the Lumens. I was under the impression that the lights would be whiter or slightly bluish. The difference between OEM and these lights is extremely small. If you are looking for an inexpensive replacement for your standard halogen bulb these are the ones for you. The Outlanders have very poor night vision so I bought them to improve vision and that was a mistake. The Outlander can only use 1:1 scale bulbs as the wiring harness holds the bulb in the headlight housing. The good thing is there is still plenty of room in the engine bay of the 4 cylinder Outlander so accessing and changing the headlights is really easy! I need to buy a Philips or Sylvania lightbulb that doesn't last long to reach the required brightness. I've used them in the past and I'll be lucky if they last 6 months.
