As bright as the Sylvania Ultra Bright that replaced it.

It was just as bright as the replacement and cost about half the price. I kept the original bulbs they replaced in my car's tool box in case they burn out quickly. It's been over 3 months and the old bulbs are still in the toolbox. They will be as strong as those installed first. You meet my expectations. I will recommend.

Pros
  • Change weight

Pretty good but for bulbs

I used Silver Star Ultras on my last car, a RAV4, and really liked them. They are mediocre on my Honda CR-V which indicates either low voltage or more likely that the reflectors on this car are not as good as on my RAV4. I've tried these voltage lights and they are almost as white as the Sylvania SSU and almost as bright. For the money they seem worth it. However, keep in mind that all blue-coated bulbs, to make their light whiter, will be less luminous than the same bulb without blue. Passing…

Pros
  • Build Quality
Cons
  • Clarity

We blew out Prius headlights after about 5000 miles. I started with Sylvania and upgraded to the top Philips but the result is the same! I decided that it's better to take cheap ones, since the headlights on this car don't last long. After 12,000 km my first bulb blew out. After 100 km the second bulb burned out. Considering I had a spare pair in the trunk I just swapped them out when they burned out and kept driving. I just went back to buy a few spare pairs and thought I'd let people know…

Excellent value for money - average lifespan around one year

But some cars/bikes use H7 bulb adapters and I found it difficult to switch to LED. Installed them on a 2003 Mazda Protege5 (uses H7 bulbs with adapters and very little/no clearance behind bulbs for LED cooling fans). These bulbs are comparable to Sylvania Ultras, last about a year, give an excellent very bright white light and are less expensive than comparable Sylvanias (also last about a year). RIGHT light, comparable color and comparable lifespan - MUCH cheaper. Highly recommended if you…

Brighter than OEM? for bulbs

I read a lot of reviews before I decided to buy them. Whoever sold them to me was the person who tested the Lumens. I was under the impression that the lights would be whiter or slightly bluish. The difference between OEM and these lights is extremely small. If you are looking for an inexpensive replacement for your standard halogen bulb these are the ones for you. The Outlanders have very poor night vision so I bought them to improve vision and that was a mistake. The Outlander can only use…

  • Definitely a bad product

There are better headlight bulbs for the money

This rating is for the 9006 HB4 and 9005 HB3 Voltage Automotive Night Eagle Professional Upgrade bulbs only. It's true that Voltage Automotive Night Eagle bulbs are slightly whiter than standard OEM halogen bulbs, but the 9006 and 9005 have lower brightness and actual light output than OEM bulbs, which makes sense given the lower wattage. Instead of 55 watts like the OEM bulb, the Voltage Automotive 9006 bulb is 50 watts, the same low wattage as the Silvana bulb at Walmart. Ditto for the…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Hard to say

No update but they work as intended.

Definitely not "40% brighter" than the standard. However, they are completely sufficient for the intended use as a low beam. But they are nothing special, just good enough. They're affordable, a little brighter than standard Sylvania bulbs, but not by much. A good buy for the price. However, if you're looking for an upgrade, select a few LEDs and set them up properly for the load they're putting on your alternator and battery. LEDs are much better for your car than these or "HIDs" because they…

Slight improvement but quality uncertainty

So if your car still has halogen headlights you might be reading this. Over time, even halogen headlight bulbs will begin to dim due to filament wear. So replacing old lamps can't be a bad thing. Whiter illumination can provide slightly more visual detail at night compared to lower (yellowish) Kelvin output. But too much white can cause some people to lose visual contrast, for others it's like day and night. (pun) These bulbs are designed to add some white to the light output without going to…

Pleasantly surprised

I drive a commercial vehicle and Stock H 11 bulbs blind you to many road conditions. There is always a dark spot in the center of the visual field, the left band and right shoulder are pale to dark. When a car with brighter light approaches from behind, it casts an almost blinding shadow. Lamp life is excellent. can last 3-4 months (coverage 24 hours 6 days a week) and very affordable. The best Philips and Sylvania bulbs work well, but after 2 weeks the brightness becomes the same as the…
