So if your car still has halogen headlights you might be reading this. Over time, even halogen headlight bulbs will begin to dim due to filament wear. So replacing old lamps can't be a bad thing. Whiter illumination can provide slightly more visual detail at night compared to lower (yellowish) Kelvin output. But too much white can cause some people to lose visual contrast, for others it's like day and night. (pun) These bulbs are designed to add some white to the light output without going to 5000 or 6000k bulbs. Exact replacement so fitting is not a problem. However, access to the headlights varies from vehicle to vehicle. And another story in itself. So would I buy them again? Time will tell as to durability as most of these low budget Chinese products are of questionable quality. I only wish the wattage was a bit higher as they are still 55w. 75 watts would make them near perfect without opting for an LED upgrade or worrying about heat issues. UPDATE: After running these headlight bulbs for about two months, I've come to this conclusion. The contrast difference between the original halogen lamps and these (whitish) is minimal. Also, quality control is somewhat lacking as one bulb is brighter than the other. I expect them to be the same. I checked twice to see if they were installed incorrectly or if the headlight lenses were dirty, but even after washing the car and driving that evening I can still tell that one is brighter than the other. Not sure if this is under warranty, but it works for now.
