Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ Voltage Automotive H1 Headlight Bulb 12258 Blue Eagle Upgrade - Brighter High Beam Low Beam Driving Fog Light Bulbs (PAIR) by Lakeem Pickel

Pleasantly surprised

I drive a commercial vehicle and Stock H 11 bulbs blind you to many road conditions. There is always a dark spot in the center of the visual field, the left band and right shoulder are pale to dark. When a car with brighter light approaches from behind, it casts an almost blinding shadow. Lamp life is excellent. can last 3-4 months (coverage 24 hours 6 days a week) and very affordable. The best Philips and Sylvania bulbs work well, but after 2 weeks the brightness becomes the same as the standard bulb and after 4 weeks they burn out. @ $35.00 - $50.00 for a lamp set, this is prohibitive and unreliable. So these bulbs are advertised as 40% brighter (not great but better), my test was as scientific as I could make it. I started with the standard bulbs first, parked about 12 feet from the wall with the headlights on, took a light meter and measured the brightest point. Lamps measured 700 lumens. Then I swapped the bulbs and measured again. They measured @ 1000 lumens. Accurate advertising is 40% brighter. For comparison, on a dark, completely overcast day, the light through the windshield was 1,700 lumens. Then driving tests. the dark spot in the middle has disappeared, the left lane and the right shoulder are clearly illuminated. No shadowing with brighter backlight. The distance at which the headlights shine seems about the same. So if you want to see further, it's probably not an improvement. In terms of price and quality, these are probably the best lights I've found so far. I will update my review when these bulbs burn out to better assess the value. Update: Blown bulb 6/618 not bad bulb life. The bulbs definitely dimmed after 4-6 weeks so still good value if I swap them out once a month.

Pros

Cons
